Keywork alteration to a Buffet Contrabassoon

During the repair and overhaul of this rare 1961 French-system contrabassoon, the owner asked for a roller to be added to one of the LH third finger keys.

 

A crook (bocal) dent removal project

This Heckel CC2 goldbrass crook had a serious dent near the lettering. The dent has been almost completely removed. The remaining scratch will be left as polishing it out will thin the metal. Below are the before and after pictures:

 

N.B. When asked, Heckel stated they no longer make CC crooks in goldbrass, so this particular crook is definitely worth repairing!
